The feast or the fiesta is part and bundle of Filipino culture. Through good times and bad times, the fiesta must go on. Each city and barrio has at least one local festival of its own, usually on the feast of its patron saint, so that there is always a fiesta going on somewhere in the country. There are different feasts in every month. From January to December each city celebrates their own feast. For the month of January Sinulog Festival in Cebu, the Ati-atihan Festival in Kalibo, Aklan and the Dinagyang Festival is held. For the month of February, Panagbenga Festival in Baguio and Philippine Hot-Air Balloon Festival was held in Ermita, Manila. The month of March
in Boac, Marinduque, the Moriones Festival is celebrated. Every month of April in Lamitan, Basilan, the
Lami-lamihan Festival was held. Pulilan Carabao Festival, Pahiyas and
Obando Fertility Rites is celebrated in Bulacan also for the month of May. Who can forget the
Parada ng Lechon in Batangas and
Pintados Festival in Tacloban Leyte for the month of June.
Every 1st Sunday of July in Bucaue, Bulacan,
Bocaue River Festival was held.
Every 3rd week of August in Davao City, Kadayawan Festival was held. The month of September is the Feast of Nuestra
